Rehearsal Dinner, Night Before Wedding at Georgetown Waterfront on Boomerang Yacht, Washington DC

Claire and Laura got married on June 6, 2026. For their rehearsal dinner/night before, they invited their guests to join them on the Boomerang Yacht which took off from the Georgetown Waterfront and sailed down the Potomac River. Claire and Laura love their city, so it only made sense to show off the gorgeous views of Washington DC by taking their wedding guests on a boat ride at sunset. There is so much emotion and so many unexpected moments that happen the night before the wedding day, often times it's when my couples first greet friends and family they haven't seen in ages. It is so rare to be gathered with all your favorite people. Photographs are so powerful to help us remember all the little moments. I also find that couples who invite me to join them for pre-wedding festivities are much more comfortable in front of my camera on their wedding day. It also helps all the guests get comfy and familiar with me before the wedding so on the big day everybody can feel relaxed in front of my camera and excited to see me! This was one of my favorite ways I've ever seen a couple kick off their wedding weekend, I'm so grateful for their trust in me as their wedding photographer. Thank you so much, Claire & Laura! <3 :)
